Carmella Whitehead has extensive experience working with adults, especially men. Some areas of specialization include, but are not limited to: trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, identity issues, self-sabotaging behavior & life transitions.

After completing her undergraduate education at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College with a focus in psychology, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Auburn University.

Carmella continued her studies in various psychoanalytic settings including the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in New York City and the Houston Psychoanalytic Society.

She served as a mentor and supervisor for therapy students at Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, NC, and continues to be an advocate for and mentor to associate and licensed therapists.
